  • Built a small game in Godot 4 after ~10 casual hours of prior tinkering.

  • Project was 90% ChatGPT-guided

  • Used AI-generated assets (BGM, SFX, splash screen).

  • Graphics made in Figma

Key Features & Learnings:

  • Instantiated assets with dynamic parameters.

  • Godot 4 UI pretty comfy!

  • Drag-and-drop mechanics with snapping zones.

  • Line2D points system

  • Visual/audio cues for user feedback and reinforcement.

  • Used AnimationPlayer and _draw() for effects like pops, wipes, and tickers.

  • Tweaked a UV texture shader, mostly by trial and error.
